So we took our baby to a dim sum restaurant

Recently we took Victoria to a dim sum restaurant because my wife had a craving for the stuff. This was only the third time we took our kid to eat out.

She was wearing one of my wife’s cute ribbons and kept getting comments on it from all the staff and customers—she was super cute that day.

Next to our table were three ladies discussing a crazy-wide range of topics—weddings, divorce, death.

They started chatting with us about our baby, because due to her cuteness she gets attention everywhere we go.
The main thing that they kept saying was how calm our six month old baby was. And it’s true. She is a really calm six month old.

I really do not know if we are doing something specific that has Victoria be so calm in public. I think that we are definitely lucky that she has a naturally easy-going disposition. But I think that we also affect our little one’s mood by the kind of household that we have.

One thing that my wife and I try to do is to maintain a calm and happy environment at home for Victoria to flourish in.
There is zero stress and zero drama at my home. The only drama that happens are the Korean TV dramas that my wife streams online.

My wife and I decided to have this kind of household when we got married because we both hate fighting.

In either case, I think it is working for us–knock on wood.

At this point, we have got everything worked out and optimized. Our diaper changing battle station, schedules, and now baby food supply are all optimized. Sleep is in plentiful supply for my whole family. It took work to get us to this point, but I really think it is paying off now because my family coexists in a peaceful environment.

I realize that hey, I just have one kid right now, so maybe it is easy so far…
